Default Engine specs

Does anyone know of a link where I can get the specs for the 350 engine in my 93 silverado? I mainly need to know things like head specs (chamber cc etc) and cam info. (lift, duration, roller or flat tappet etc)
I am thinking of maybe upgrading to a set of vortec heads and a small cam in serch of a little more drivabilty, but I need to know what I'm starting with.
Thanks

Try going on a search engine in type in "specs on 93 chevy 350v8" I've done some searches like that before and I found some results.

You might want to check out cfm technologies. I'm not sure about head specs but they used to have a lot of good info for TBI setups and a lot of good head and cam combonations for the LM7 (assuming your keeping the throttle body). Their is also a lot of good tuning tips.

You might find some sources saying you have a hyd. roller cam and some saying it's a flat hydraulic cam. Every early 90's TBI truck motor I have delt with had a flat tappit hydraulic cam, but that doesnt mean they all are. Here are 2 more links from a different site with some cheap mods for TBI. (its a Camaro site but the throttle body is the same setup)

Thanks for the sites guys, they both have some good info.
I plan on keeping the TBI, so I will be doing the mods to it (I already have the adjustable pressure reg.)
I'm still not sure of the head cc. I'm guessing it has the 64cc chambers, but if it only has 8.3 compression as indicated, I will need to mill the vortec heads to bump it up.
If anyone out there has built a "mild" engine using the vortec heads, please chime in.
Thanks

I have some friends who have talked about putting vortec heads on their older TBI 350. What is involved in the swap? Is it a basic swap or do you have to modify a lot of parts?

The intake bolt holes in the head are different. Some people drill and tap the holes but you might be better off buying a different intake. I know GM makes and intake and I think their are some aftermarkt ones also.

The only parts you have to have are the heads, vortec intake, and either guided rocker arms, or replace the pressed in studs with screw in ones with guideplaes. If yu want more than a 475" lift cam, you have to cut the bosses and replace the springs.
