ok i have a 2001 gmc sierra with the 5.3L motor. i not sure what size it is. is it a 322, 323, 324, 325. The reason i ask is because i get mixed answers from everyone i ask so i thought i would try asking you guys.

5.3 liter = 323.425 842 335 cubic inchs

 

how many cc's exactly is the 5.3 though? i know theoretically it's 5300, but i've never found out how many exactly. 5300/16.387 = about 323.426niner

 

It's listed as a 5328cc total displacement on Wikipedia.

1cc = 0.0610237441 cubic inches

5328 * 0.0610237441 = 325.1345085648 cubic inches.

Many people just use 5300 instead of 5328 and that's how they get wrong answers.

 

I always see 323ci or 325ci but never once in the books if seen it reffered as a 327ci whitch I think it should've been reffered as.

 

bore = 96 mm = 3.7795 inch
stroke = 92 mm = 3.6220 inch

ci = (3.7795)(3.7795)(.7854)(8)(3.6220) = 325.09

All your numbers are off after the thousanths place. No way GM is holding one 10 billionth of an inch :p
