Engine roars when AC is on???

hitman has a point, if your not looking for 1/4 mile performance and are willing to shut off the fans when you do a run i am not sure how much of a benifit they will be, the flexalites that i have dim the lights alot everytime they cycle, its not like they stop using energy. also, it is hard to beat th airflow that the stock fan provides.
that being said i still hate the roar and will be puting the fans on my next truck

I have noticed that my A/C works 1000 times better with the e-fans.....what do you mean "it is hard to beat th airflow that the stock fan provides"?

i didn't notice any change, the fans roar becasue they are moving that much air, there are times when moving that much air would be a good thing, some extreme condition that the factory has to plan for like towing in death vally with the air on.

Been There, Done that
actually....
Living There, Doing That
E-Fans would be hard pressed to keep up with 130* temps while towing a 9000+ trailer from -232 ft to 5600 ft in the space of 5 miles over 8%-10% grades with the A/C on.....even the factory flyswatter can't move enough air to keep an engine cool under those conditions....no matter what thermostat you have !!
there's a reason I don't like to tow things in from the coast during the summer !!!

I just measured up a stock fan. The blade volume is .3 cubic feet. Multiply that by 9 blades and you have 2.7 cubic feet of air for every revolution.
So the stock fan can move the same volume of air at ~2000rpm that the 282's do. The stock fan at higher rpms would flow an insane amount of air but, would cost lots of power in the process.
If you tow in third gear and spin over 2000rpm the stock fan is probably better.
