How would cutting the spring in half double it's force? Do you have any pic of the bypass block mod? Thank you

You have to think of coil springs as an uncoiled straight wire, then think of that straight wire being held horizontal, hold one end rigid and push down on the other end, the shorter the length of wire the stiffer it will behave conversely the longer the wire the more it will deflect under the same load. The same hold true for diameter of the wire, the thinner the wire the easier it will deflect. There is a little more to it than that as far as coil wind diameter and coil spacing but when you are modifying a spring you are not changing those. If you want the simplest method for bypassing less with your valve just shim the existing spring. Feel free to give me a ring so that I can understand what parts you have inside the valve to work with.

I have to wonder if a thermal bypass is even necessary in your part of the country.

Most likely not, throw in the oil viscosity I run and it just becomes a large head ache.. All is good now, Thank you wkdivr
