Default Engine light after 6.0 MAF install

Recently I put on a Granatelli MAF to compliment my FIPK. After 50 miles I received and engine light. After a short time it managed to cycle itself off. The AutoTap said I was running lean in bank 1 and 2. I will contunue to monitor it and see if the light comes back on.

I am much more familiar with f body performance, but how do the trucks typically respond to aftermarket MAF's?

Can I expect any issues or problems after installing a BBK 6.0 throttlebody?

Thanks for any input.

Dave

I don't know first hand but i have heard that the Granatelli MAF makes are trucks run lean. I haven't heard it making it run lean enough for the SES light to come one. You may try the tb but i wouldn't think that would help any. Might have it reflashed or reset maybe to get rid of that code.

Have you reset the computer to adjust for the new MAF?

When I swapped my MAF out for the 2002 Z06 MAF I had an SES light for about 100 miles or so then it just went out. I haven't had a problem since. I think the PCM learns and then corrects for some mods.

I agree that the PCM corrected itself for the mod and hopefully the light will stay off on its own. After it reset itself I checked and cleared the diagnostic trouble code, so it has no history.
