Default engine check!!

Hello. You know I got code on my truck. I not sure if yall know of (re-programmer) with PCM by mail from someone who do tunes. The reason I always got pcm from Allen Nelson that tuned mine. Been 3rd times. They usually get engine check light back on. It say (Crank position sensor) I usually take it to Chevy Dealership to erase and clear up. It went off. It was fine, now I got re-program pcm again because of header that I run now. Today finally engine check on. Now dealership want to charge $95 to do it. I went to few different dealership company. They are almost same. I just not want to waste my money to spend $ for that. You have any idea about anybody who can do to clear my code? I live in Fayetteville, GA I really want code go away. So it wont bother me anymore ha. Let me know thanks.

Change the sensor out?

Theres a reason why it is coming on. Have you discussed this with Allen?

I would look into changing out the sensor and seeing if that clears it up. And as far as just getting a code erased. You can either go to Autozone and get them to scan it and possibly erase it for free, or just buy a code scanner for ~$50

A piece of electrical tape over your check engine light should solve your problem.

Ok, maybe I can help clarify. I told Luke to post up on pt.net to ask for help getting a crank relearn. He just needs someone to help him do a crank relearn. I thought someone could do it for him for free around here. I said I would if he lived in MN. On another note, we should have a sticky somewhere on this forum and the members on here can post up where they're from and what they have for tuning software. If anyone in MN needs a crank relearn, let me know. I would hope others would offer the same thing for nothing for the other members.

I know Wheatley can do crank relearns with the scan tool he sends out. On a serious note, to the OP, why can't you just have Nelson do it? How far is it to drive to Nelson?

Why does he need a crank relearn after a flashed tune just for headers...?

Out of every single retune ive ever done, I'm pretty sure I don't think I've ever had to do a crank relearn, and thats even with reflashing the entire PCM over to an 02 OS

You should always do a crank relearn when the PCM you install isn't from your truck.

It's the stock PCM, we just flashed it to an 02 operating system, from the original 00 OS. The '02 has more options for tuning.
