Is it possible to swap in an electronic throttle 5.3 engine into an '87 c10. What would be required? Would I have to change the gas pedal?

 

Yes, you would need the Gas Pedal, the ETC Control Computer... (A decient sized box, about 3x5 right up against the firewall right next to the fender, drivers side.) As well as a ETC aware PCM and its harness.

Yes, from what i can see in my own PCM's software, all the stuff for a Cable operated throttle and IAC controls is still listed. So i am reasonably sure about that.

Is it very hard to put it the electronic throttle? Does it require a lot of custom fabrication? My dad has another C10 with a 5.3 but its not electronic throttle so we are not worried about all the other stuff.
