Default electrical issues

I dont know where to post this, but....

Put key to accessory and I can watch the volt gauge drop. 5 seconds or less to completely dead battery.

But, I never have problems when I'm driving.

man, this is weird.
Whole story:

I was flashing the PCM when it went dead. I assume thats why it wont start. I had it doe on accessory before, but I thought it was just old fashion "lights on too long" style dead.

Here is the weird part:
Put jumper pack on it- all systems go. Lights, radio, voltage, etc. I can even put the key to "on"

However, the instant you take the jumper pack off the battery, the whole electrical system dies. Not even does dim- but it's like a light switch.

You don't turn the key to full run/engine off to load tunes? Get a tune loaded and the thing running, take to an auto parts store and have the alt and battery tested.

I cant get that far. As soon as put the truck to "on" or accessory or whatever (before you start it) it dies

If you put the jumpers on it...will it start and stay running if you disconnect them?
