Electric Fans Won't Work... what could be the problem?
#1
I installed LS1 e-fans with DLH2006's harness. I followed the instructions for the installation but they won't turn on. What green wire is it that you splice into? I spliced into the solid dark green wire that was supposed to be the AC wire but the fans don't turn on when my motor gets hot or when i turn the AC on. I also checked to see if the green wire was hot when the AC was turned on but it wasn't. I also checked the other 2 green wires(one with a white stripe and one light green) the light green was hot at all times when the key was turned over and the other was never hot... so I don't know what it could be. My positive and ground are good so help me out

lol, just to make sure you do have a tune right?
Also the fans won't come on unless:
1.) the temperature goes above the seat number. Mine is set to turn on a 205* and turn off at 200*.
2.) You turn the a/c on
My setup 99% of the time in warm weather turns only one fan. In cold weather 99% of the time neither will be turning.

to check the harness ground out the PCM pin, the fans should come on low!
take the AC wire and touch the + battery while the pcm pin is grounded and the fans should come on high.
Check all connections!! Ground and Power!!
sounds like a bad ground.

First things are first...
Check and make sure you are gettin power to your Relays.
Check your grounds.
I believe that the A/C wire is natural Green.
Turn the A/C on the highest level with the Recirculation on.. That should keep the AC clutch locked. ( I cheated, i used EFI Live to manually Engage the AC Clutch
)Check your relays by jumping them and check for voltage on the Output of it.
You should be able to ground the wire that you ran to the PCM and the fans come on low..
The wire that you have goin to the A/C, you should be able to connect it to +12v and the fans should come on.
I Dont know how the harness you have works. But this should be correct.

just touch the pcm pin to a ground!
you can splice into that wire on the harness instead of running it to a ground.
you can also touch the ac wire to the battery, if the pcm pin isnt grounded one fan will come on high!

You could run a mini switch in the mean time if it came down to it..
