if you want to do it even cheeper just buy the fans at a junk yard and then buy a switch for 2 bucks at autozone and wire it to when your trucks on there on

thats a good idea about ls1 fans so are all the wire hook up the same basically? i just take out my old fan and put these in and wire it like it was and it should work? no maunal switch just automaitcally like the stock ones?

How exactly are you gonna "wire it like it was" ... umm.. I dunno about your stock fan but mine dosent have any wires

You need to program your PCM for those settings if you want to do that way...

You guys are gettn way off and just repeating what im saying....

From the beginning I said get ls1 fans and a VSC controler.
The VSC diagrams will explain the wiring to you.

Electric fans are nice. I bought a 18" Derale from Summit with a temp probe and an A/C relay (that way the fan turns on when the A/C turns on) for $150 shipped. The 180* t-stat was maybe $15 from O'reilly's. So $165, maybe $180 all said and done. There was a marginal power increase, but the gas mileage went WAY up. Went from 12 in the city to about 16.

i paid 100 bucks for the ls1 fans and vsc controller off ebay. junk yard, ebay, and the camaro, firebird for sale forums are good places to look for them. i could notice a nice difference when my engine would start to warm up. there was no more fan bog (as what i called it)

whats a vsc controller and is taht hard to install? and what degree thermo should i probally get?
