Default Electric fan question...

What fans are you guys running? Just like the LT1 fans or what? I was wanting to get one before the track opened back up in a couple of weeks. Could i find anything on ebay....i mean im kinda clueless on this particular subject of what to get....i need somethin cheap.

Most everyone running an electric fan is running the Flex-a-Lite Model 282.....they are designed for the new Chevy's and GMC's with the 34" radiator core (the 6.0 and 8.1 trucks came with these radiators...the other trucks require you to change to a wider radiator)

NO...not unless you have converted to the 3/4 ton radiator or have a custom aluminum one that is 34" wide

282's here too. excellent piece. won't fit the 4.8 for sure, i found that out the hard way. for the price of "the other brand" you can make the conversion.

Anythin else that i could put in, even if i have to do a custom install...i dont care...i just dont want to spend 400 bucks on a fan.

yank a couple of fans out of an F-body.....just make sure you get the harness and all and it may interface with the stock computer on your truck...there is a computer provision for fan temp so the harness plug may be under the hood somewhere

No plugs on mine, I had to make a custom wiring harness. It was not too hard though. Do a search and you will probably find more info than you need.
