As long as you are running the correct size and series of Flowmaster muffler for your truck, the position of the inlet and outlet will not have an effect on exhaust velocity entering or exiting the muffler. The reason that Flowmaster offers our mufflers in different inlet and outlet configurations is to allow for precise fitment when integrated into a vehicle's exhaust system.

You've still got a lot to learn about exhaust. Instead of spouting off why don't you give the man a call and see what he can offer you knowledge wise. I run flowmaster on multiple vehicles and have been very happy with them over the years. Don't believe everything you've read on the internet.

I'm using a QTP 3.5" cutout. The new style (read: double o-ring seal motor) is much more heat and water-resistant than the first generation they had out about 7 years ago. Mine has been running for about 2 years now without issue.

Just be sure to get a can of SeaFoam Deep Creep and lube the plate/shaft while hot and cycle the cutout a couple of times to get it settled in. This needs to be done monthly for best reliability.

If I owned that truck the wife and kid would not be allowed in it at all. Pretty clean rig there. Probably not likely but let me know if you get bored of it. HAHA
