I just went with manual cutouts. I originally wanted electric ones, but didn't for a few reasons. 1-They cost too damn much. Like 250+ for each one or something like that. 2-I have heard from quite a few people about them just driving along and them falling apart. 3-I have heard the electric ones are prone to leaking.

I have had my cutouts on for about 2-3 months now, and have had them capped a total of 2 times. Each time for only a few hours. I like them uncapped. It would be nice to close them at the flip of a switch, but its not that much trouble to just get under the truck and close 3 wingnuts each. Plus they don't leak like this.

I didn't have room to put my cutouts between the x-pipe and mufflers, so I put them directly in front of the x-pipe. My X-pipe is a good distance away from the cats.

Last time at the track. Track times were consistantly .1 of a second quicker with the cutouts open than with them closed.

Both of mine fell apart before the first year. On one the motor literally fell out of the housing and on the other the middle piece broke and the butterfly piece just fell off. Before that, I was having problems with the little screws coming out and the butterfly falling sideways and hanging up. They also leaked quite a bit. I think they are great for a race car/truck, but not so great for a daily driver. I had a TON of fun with them when they were working, though. I'm sending both of mine back to get them fixed, and they promised me the upgrades will keep any of this from happening again. We'll see.

my vote goes for the manual cutouts you can get for 25 bucks. i don't need mine open all the time so when i get mine installed again, it don't kill me to lay down to uncap them at the track. stock manifolds and cats, they sound great open, headers and no cats, a lil loud....
