Matt - The EGR valve (the big electrical component between the headers and the intake) controls the amount of exhaust allowed into the intake. At WOT, it is closed. No exhaust is allowed into the intake.

BTW - Adding that EGR gas into the intake air actually reduces detonation and ping under part throttle with heavy strain on the motor.

i don't have any ping really, since i have a stock tune and run 93 gas....the mod worked, made a difference on the quick drive i took afterwards...that's it.
