EGR or not to EGR...that is the question.

EGR is the exhaust gas recirculation. Supposedly makes lower NOx levels and such at lower RPMs so helps emissions. Lets say you had to get your vehicle tested with a sniffer as well as the OBDII scan, could it pass w/o WGR?
So...is there any reason to keep in on the vehicle? GM did get rid of it in '02 and up vehicles...anyone know why?

GM changed cam profiles that year to include more valve overlap so you are getting the same effect as having EGR.....it's just happening in the combustion chamber instaed of in the intake manifold

LSA was changed on the cams, basically if you have LS1 edit you can turn the EGR codes off so you wont have an SES code and you'll pass all emissions tests.
