Default egr

Does taking off the egr really help performance any? Also is I do it will I be hurting my mph?

Ok to the first part, it can. But leaving it can also help becuse it recirculate exhaust gas and can lower combustion temps which can reduce detonation. But the effects are minimal and there are better ways to go about it.

I think he means mpg, not mph? I can't answer that, because I've never messed with my egr. I just cut off the tube behind the tb.

Yea sorry about that. I mean mpg. I had a long day at work and tired.

can the egr delete kit for the ls1 intake work on our trucks?

egr is not open at wot, so you will gain no performance at wot.. As for part throttle i have heard of some people claiming they got a increase in power at part throttle.. I have also seen 1-2 mpg gain by disabling it, you do run the risk of detonation but all you really need to do from what i have seen is zero out your egr correction table in edit
