Would there be any negative consequences to switching my stock thermostat to a 180* and keep the same fan on/off temps? What fan on/off temps could I use that would work for both?

If the fans were set right w/ the stock stat ...then I would think that the only negitive would be you wouldn't get the benifit of having the 180 stat.
I have FAL's and just added the 170* stat and am still playing around w/ the temp setting.

Ya.. im just going to get an adj. thermo for them... bc i have it right now with a 180 truck thermostat.. but they turn on at 170, however.. unless im in a dead stop of traffic for like half an hour... they never turn on when im driving.. so i want some air movement in there.. so im going with the adjustable so it will be at my finger tips.

I went with the 160* t- stat and FAL w/ DCC controller! In 95* + weather and 60% humidity, my temp gauge still never gets above the quarter mark on the temp gauge.( which I believe is 175
