Im gonna have to go along with most the other guys here and say that I have had no problems with mine. Although its only been in the 70's here in the Bay. But on another note when I was living in PHX it was around 109 for a weekend back in may and i had no problems with overheating

I have ls1 fans and I'm very impressed. A few weeks ago, I towed a 85 Trans Am on a 2k# Uhaul car carrier and I had a couple hundred pounds of crap in the truck. Running ~75-85, with the A/C on, and a 160* stat, the hottest it got was ~195. The outside temp was ~90*.

No problems here once the FAL VSC was replaced with Delta current control. My efans kick *** I never see temps above 175 on the gauge and its been 90+ for a few weeks. The only time my temps rise, is when i have the AC cranking nad its still doesnt get all the way to 210

My 05 efans have been great so far, a/c on or off. We've only had a few days in the 90's, but it's been solid. FWIW, I have a 160* stat and my fan on and off temps are 180* - 173* respectively. Factory guage never shows above the mark in the middle of 160-210.

From my experience in an 01 suburban and an 03 passenger van the radiators do not have the capacity regardless of air movement, to tow a trailer in or across the rocky mountains without the heater cooking you in the cab. Infact I may go as far to say that the heater cores on a 01 suburban have a greater cooling capacity than the ratiator itself.

GM made this great engine and then attached a half assed thin single core radiator to it and the few of us that have even looked at a mountain with a trailer attached start heating up.

BTW I am currently looking for an oversized 2+ core radiator that will fit a 2001 suburban.

When I had the stock clutch fan and 27" radiator I never had problems towing. As soon as I went to the e-fans and 34" radiator, I did. FWIW, we have an 00 Burban that is stock and towed from Phoenix to Lake Powell a couple weeks ago (which is mostly uphill) with the a/c on the whole way, 105* out, WOT up some of the hills at 50-60 mph, never came off of 190 the whole time.

Did the Perma-Cool cool pack II about 2 years ago. Re-wired them last week(moved from dryer line to compressor line) and it works like a champ. Truck was sitting outside overnight, got in the afternoon(95F by this time) turned on the AC full, buckled my son into his carseat and when I pulled out of the driveway it was nice and cool in the cab. Plus it did give a nice SOTP feel to it.
