AHHH this reminds me of when I built up the woodhaulers lil 408. The vic jr and 4bbl setup is killer for hp up top, no doubt. I wish he had time to run it at the track, has never been on that setup.

From what i came up with on the elbow setup is that it causes a turbulence effect going from the round 90 to the elbow, its not the same as just bolting the tb up to the manifold (if it was possible).

I can honestly say though, top end with that manifold is unmatched, and when your running a max effert setup that has high shift extensions where you can keep the rpms 5500+, it feels like god, even on highway pulls. Its weird to be in a silverado and drag a cammed f-body by about 3 or 4 lentghs from 60-130! Here is his setup, old pics, has braided line now.... Speed density, old school breather, looks like a carbed motor....lol

ok i got it all running this weekend, and it runs real strong up top, throttle response is incomparable, i had the factory L92 intake before this one and it was definitely a restriction for the 408, i can tell a power gain through the whole power band but it is most noticeable from 4500+
