Default ECSB Guys... 224/224??

hey is this 224/224 to big for an ECSB??? i was told it might run quicker with a smaller cam. said it might be a little too much for the 5.3... i wont do any wieght reduction... i like the bumber, i use it to back into the niebors car. with the 3K stall and 3.73s, how is it gonna behave just in traffic/in town? i mean i want it quick and the rough idle is bada$$ but i wanna be able to USE the truck. i dont tow, but my girlfriend is HUGE.

if she aint 380, she aint my lady

well, that cam will lope like a ****, two members off the top of my head that run that cam are slowprocess and 01thunder. thunders is a 4.8 and slow's is a 6.0. lots of tuning i think was required for thunder but if he chimes in he can better answer that.

i dont' think it would be too big as long as you have a nice stall and the gears for it. also, those two members have single cab trucks. which is a good bit lighter than our ecsb's.

see, allen suggested this cam. i dont know much about the cam/driveability so i am kinda going out on a limb here. i dont think he would reccomend it if he didnt think it would work, but i am catching lots of flak for it. i havent bought it yet, i wanted yalls opinion. i WANT it to lope like a ****... but i dont want it so bad i cant drive it. what would be a decent cam for a daily abuser, and still idle like it is missing half the block? i want to break up the pissed off bumble bee sound and get a little extra hp ( please lord... even a 13.99 lol)

pm the guys i listed and get their overall oppinion on driveability. i think it can be done very easy. allen nelson already has the tunes on file for this cam since slowprocess is tuned by him. also, you can do a search in the multimedia section of slowprocess. he has a vid of his truck idling with that cam and cutouts open.

i knew he went to him but i wasn't sure if he had done some extra tuning himself or left allens tunes alone and played with shift points and such.

Thinders cam is the TR224 what does having the extra 4 ground into it. Could I just degree the cam by 4 degrees? I believe thunder has Allens tune it as far as I know all he has is Autotap which that was couple of months ago so who knows.
