I'd say go with the yank ss3600 stall..several ppl running n/a have had great success with them. It's a 10 bolt rear either 8.5" or 8.6" ring gear will work.

so he wants to get the locker with gears already in it and wants to know which one to get like the eaton or true trac and if he can run the cam and stall w/o a new trans.and he's looking 4 the ls6 mani.

Both lockers are great lockers..I believe the truetrak is a little cheaper but the eaton is rebuildable. Personally, I would go eaton because I have one.

You have to install gears & locker seperate..never heard of them already being put together for install unless you meant buying them together in a package which you can do.

Yes, you can keep stock trans with aftermarket converter & cam but upgrading trans should be on the mod list in the near future. FWIW, I have a stock trans w/ 98k on it that has converter & cam-only 6L for almost 7k miles. Before that I was running 75-150 shot on my 5.3 for about 2 years. Pretty much luck of the draw on the trans is what I'm saying.

Tell your friend to save his money on the ls6 intake & look for a fast 90/90 setup or maybe the new weiand intake that just came out.

where can we find the new intake mani? how much hp can we expect from both cam and intake mani with a wheatley tune? thanks for the advice all of u been very helpful. btw he is getting the headers and exhaust b4 the cam and intake mani. we are both getting the lockers and gears next. and the wheatley tune.

oh and will the locker really help the traction a lot or will it still go up in smoke with the stall and decent non drs tires.
