Default E-fans F body or 05+?

Im wanting to do the e fan conversion next weekend. My buddy has some f body fans but I want to know will they work just as well as the 05+? I know i would need the 34" radiator if I get the 05 fans. Ordering the harness this week.

Thanks in advance.

I ran both .
Prefer the 05 fans and 34 inch radiator.
Looks factory and cools better in traffic on 100* days .
My ls1 fans and 28 inch radiator couldn't keep up in traffic and 100* days.

I hear good things about the Intrepid fans, plus they are ridiculously plentiful in most places.

I would go with 05+ fans. I have the ls1 fans and I will be getting the '05 7/9 blade fans from rock auto with the 34" radiator.

Been running LS1 fans for a year now with no cooling issues in 100* weather stuck in traffic for an hour and a half. fwiw.
If you have the funds, i would go 05'+ fans. My budget was tight so went with ls1 fans.

If budget permits a 34" rad plus 05 fans is a better choice. To give you an idea a 160* thermostat with 28" rad and Fbody fans will result in the thermostat being open 90+% of the time in summer heat.

My 99, (stock of course) had no problems whatsoever as a loaded AC service truck all summer while I drove it like I stole it. Fbody fans I got off ebay for $110 plus the relays and wire I made up for about $50.

05+ rad and fans with factory harness is the best way to do it. They can be had for cheap now since they are factory on 07+ trucks as well.
