Default E-fan harness removal

I am going to remove my e-fans and put the clutch fan back on for towing. The question I have is the harness and the pin that goes into the PCM. whats the easiest way to get that out? Or do I just have to clip it and call it a day?

thanks

I foyu want you can clip it all it does is ground that pin. If it was me I would remove it the "right" way and get it all out of there. I was contemplating going to efans but like you I tow quite a bit when my **** is running and I dont want my truck to overheat. What kind of e-fans do you have on your truck. I was thinkin of going 34" radiator and 05 fans.

I want to get it all out too! however, I have not had any luck yet. Looking for suggestions before I break things.

I have the LS1/LT1 fans on there. The truck heats up on long climbs with the trailer. it only did it since I put the fans on. Once I get them off, they will be up for sale.

You'll need a small clip, or paper clip to remove the clear blue retainers, once the pcm connector is removed. Then pull back the terminal retainer and simply pull out the pin.

good luck,

I was having overheating problems for awhile too while towing, 05 truck fans and 34" radiator. I went to a 160 stat and downshift now to keep out of boost as much as possible and don't have problems anymore. I think the e-fans just can't keep up with the heat generated by the Radix under boost, so if you can keep it out of boost and keep a lower temp stat in there it might make your problems go away too. Just a thought.

I had the same overheating issues before the radix, so I dont think boost is the culprit. I just dont think the E-fans push enough air period.
