I'm running coated Pacesetters (no problem with them at all), no cats and Magnaflow muffler. Pretty dang quiet setup, with no drone.

I bit the bullet and got two of the 3" vt mufflers on my SC truck. I just got them on yesterday dropping out my Magnaflow dual x muffler. I still have 4 other magnaflow bullets (two in front of mufflers and two behind axle) plus magnaflow high flow cats. No X or H so I am true dual today and I can tell the difference, sounds like a pair now. I do hear a light muffler valve rattling at idle outside of truck. However, for me this a good trade off for the drone I did have from 55 to 70 mph which I will say is almost all gone now. LOT quieter inside the truck and a little louder outside. Some of this could be these offset mufflers are lower on the truck and angled vs. the dual magnaflow which was flat and tucked up closer to chassis. The rasp which I liked is gone but I really like the fact the drone went with it. I don't feel any difference to power but that is just an opinion not dyno results. Time will tell how they stand up. I want to thank the original OP for posting as one day into this I am liking this re-mod so far.

I really wonder what the opinions of these mufflers will be after a year or so when that valve seizes. I am sure there will be plenty of complaints, the valve will be stuck open or stuck closed. They should make the valve insertable, or a bolt on in front of the muffler. Neat idea in a perfect environment.
