Anyone using one before their muffler to quieten down or deepen the tone? I put on my Longtubes and ORY this past week on my 2011 Sierra and with my heads/cam the Dynomax Ultra flow welded cat back is a bit obnoxious for me. The Ultra Flow is already a straight through design like magnaflow, and im thinkin about a 12" body race bullet in front of it to help quieten it down a tad and not lose any flow at all.

Lots of people do that and have said it works some but it could still be a little loud.
I went with a volant resonator, they make a straight through 3in res. Worked prefect for stopping the rasp after adding a offroad y-pipe and magnaflow muffler. It's more money but was worth it to me.

To save a few bucks, I would look into the Summit Racing bullet mufflers. They are louvered with fiber packing inside. And the aluminized version is only like $25. I have one as my muffler and its holding up pretty damn well.
