Default Dyno Results After Flo-Pro HD

I went by MTI to get my truck tune tweaked for the addition of the Flo-Pro HD muffler. Previous numbers were 298 hp and 318 lb/ft for the intake work, stock muffler and tune in similar weather conditions. Today's results are 305 hp and 345 lb/ft. An increase of 7 hp and 27 lb/ft. I was expecting about 10 each, so I'm quite surprised with the torque increase.

I would like to throw in that the MTI folks really treated me good. I will be doing business in the future with them.

Great info. I'd like to see graphs from that as well. Did you add the flo-pro as a stock replacement muffler reusing the stock pipes?

I would post up graphs, but alas, I have no scanner. I did see the torque increase in the 3k-4k rpm range.

I installed the dual in single out as a replacement for the stock one that was on the truck. The muffler shop had to add a slight bend/elbow on the discharge side to tie into the tailpipe.

After taking it to the track a couple of times it is really starting to season into a nice sounding muffler. It is very quiet on the highway, a little noisy at street speeds and much louder than stock at wot.

Cool to hear. I have been torturing myself trying to decide between the 2503 and 2504 because flo-pro said that the 2504 flows a lot more. I think that I am going to go the 2503 though after seeing your gains with it.

Anyone care to comment on how the flo-pro is compared to these RV type flowmaster models? Part # 527504 is a dual 2 3/4" I/ dual 2 1/2" out, and #530503 is a dual I/ single 3" out... the later is part of the 2500HD exhaust catback kit they sell for a 6.0 or 8.1....???? I'm thinking its really similar.... ANyone have pics of their installed flo-pro setup?

My experience with the large Flowmaster mufflers has been that they are louder and resonate in the cab. The resonance doesn't bother some people, but I couldn't take it.

Hey Gonzo6.0,

Where would I go to get the flo-pro muffler p/n#2503? (IE: websites, local retail stores) Flo-pro website is down with the dealer page.

Thanks,
