Dynatech vs Ameican Racing
#42
Same size primary for both, bigger collector/y-pipe for the pacesetters and no cats to get in the way so yes they flow better.
Doubt all you want, i own two trucks and i have had two dynatech systems in my possesion at one point and a pacesetter.
For ***** and giggles i swapped the pacesetters on my rcsb out the dynatechs. Went to the track with almost exact conditions by almost i mean very close but the dynatech night was a tad better. Like 1 degree cooler and the da was 3x better. Fairly close.
In the end every single spot of the track was run faster with the pacesetters.
Truck runs/ran very consistent never more than a half tenth off with all my runs when it hooks up.
This was enough to prove it to me. Take it for what it's worth. Either way doesn't effect you since you have a 08.
Oh and also dynatechs have a high price for the material they use and the catted system.

i have the pacesetters and am happy with them, If I was going to choose between ARH and dynatech I would go with the ARH, Dynatechs are good, but primary size is to small for me, and Im pretty sure that the ARH will be of a higher quality. Ive never seen dynatechs on a chevy, but I have seen a few sets on fords and I am not impressed for the cost of them.
Recently, I've seen some pictures of ARH systems on LS1tech. After having experience with the Pacesetters and OBX headers I know exactly what to look for in a header/y pipe setup. I am extremely impressed with what I see from the ARH headers. Originally I said go with the Dynas, but the ARH should have better collectors.

I had the OBX (dynatech copy w/o cats) and pacesetters on my 6.0L. I can definitely tell a difference up top. It pulls faster to 100 and above 100 the revs climb faster. My speedo only goes to 100, so I don't know how fast I was going (5000 rpm in 3rd with 3.42s/31.5" tires), but had to slow down cuz some weather stripping blew out from my engine bay

Up top is where the 3" will pay off; the smaller size benefits torque. Use your HPT, or EFILive( I think they have it too), if u want to see how much above 100mph u went.

Unsure if mine would do 137, but I like it from a dig. Tires are too worn to try.
Outta the hole, I think the Dynas made a huge difference. I've got 3.42s too, but w/ my luck, the people out on patrol would already be out of the donut shop.
In the end, it's about the right combo & learnin/ havin fun!
