Well, I've asked ATI guys which led to Powerstroke talk and now here we are back to the GM OEM products.
I know there's not many of you on the site but, maybe one of the few that are here could snap a few pics of the intercooler setup on the D-Max??
This would save me from being attacked at a dealer by some sales droid just to see how the intercooler was setup.

Thanks
John

no pics but.....
a little research has led me to believe that the intercooler goes where the (optional) stock skid-plate goes (on the bottom-front of the truck facing forward-down).....not the best place for a $1450.00 item (yes...that price is right for an OEM intercooler)

however...upon further research it looks like that may be the mounting for the 6.5's...
this picture however shows the inlet pipe from the intercooler coming up from underneath the motor on the passenger side and does not show any piping on the drivers side so that may the mounting position for the Dmax intercooler as well

Thanks ARE422DP.
I just have been out measuring up the area in front of the A/C condenser. It looks like if you're willing to get rid of the hood latch mechanism a 34" * 16" * 3.5" intercooler would fit with no problems and could even use stock mounting holes already in existing surrounding structure.
I'm going to get a price and let every one know what's up. I'll get a drawing together and fax it out Monday.

BTW, The intercooler I'm talking about getting built probably would require electric fans but, might not. I can't remember what the space looked like in front of the engine with the stock fan/shroud. Damn, I forget stuff way to easily.
