Default Duramax Aftermarket kits ?

Are there any test proven after market performance products for the 2002HD chevy duramax. I read on websites of problems with EZ Amp etc. Anyone here using any performance adders with success ?

Hey Greg

You may have seen this site, but if not, take a look at this:

http://www.duramaximizer.com/

a couple of threads about it:

The only thing I've seen is that the Allison sometimes goes into "Limp Home" mode because it has to relearn how to shift because of all the extra power from the box.

Have you checked out The Diesel Page yet?

The 'mod of the month' over there right now is the Edge Juice box (same as EZ Amp, I think).

Neil,
One of the websites shows a user was having problems when it was raining, as though connections would get wet and short out. I have checked the Diesel Page. I could not get quadzillapower.com to come up. I've used aftermarket parts for years on my turbo buick and found many "power adders" to be garbage. Hopefully, those who have the new duramax power products will let us know. I've learned not to put much faith in a vendors word alone.

Oh yeah, I remember the problem the guy had with the truck running weird when the windshield wipers were on. Wasn't that with the B-D Dynomite box? I can't remember for sure...

Seems that the few programmers I have read about had a few bugs and I just don't want to be the test car any more.
I like the duramaximizer adds and concept for sure. Is anyone you know using the duramaximizer by Pacific Performance ? I see TMC Automotive in Arlington, Tex is listed as a vendor, which is 33+- miles from me. hmm

I had heard of a shop in Ft. Worth. Thanks for the info. Now have 2 to shops to work with in the area. Of course I would still like to see comparisons and user comments.
