Default Dump exhaust before or after axle?

Which setup will yield less interior noise, but louder exterior sound? Dumping the exhaust over the axle or in front of the axle?

Thanks!

I would try to do it after the axle. If you do it before the axle you might get quite a bit more drone depending on the setup in question, which mufflers, etc..

before the axle but exit out the passenger side. i have had mine both before and after with a turn down and its louder before the axle. But if you keep it turned down under the truck you will get alot of interior noise no matter what.

Im on stock manifolds, cats, pipe size with the shortest length summit bullet muffler dumped right after the cab and there is a lot of drone. My friends GF hates riding in my truck cause "its too loud" for her :jerkit:.

So if you want quiet(er) inside make sure you run it all the way out the side or rear of the truck.

I'm dumped before axle and its tame at idle but is honestly quieter in the cab cruising on the highway with the cutouts open and dumping before cats under the cab

So it sounds like dumping it before or after the axle isn't going to do much with drone but increase it?

I've got 3 chamber single inlet dual outlet up and over the axles dumping stmraight down with no drone at all. No cats either and a lq9. My last exhaust was a Gibson side exit and when the cats came off it was way to loud
