Default dumb question

How are ppl deleting evap and other crap when swapping intakes trying to run it like my ls1 marao but not sure. Im looking at edlebrock pro flow intake

Buy/Make blockoff plate for exhaust manifold, remove EGR motor and plumbing, tuck away electric plug, delete EGR codes and tests in tune and wha-la... no EGR.
