Default Dual 2.5 or single 3.5 exhaust

Hello guys, I have a question that I would like your opinion on, I am putting a 408 stroker from Texas speed with a built 4L80E in my 95 crew cab chevy stepside truck, this truck won't be raced or anything, I actually take it to a lot of car shows. It is airbagged and I don't have a lot of room for exhaust and I don't want to run too large of an exhaust and loose my low end torque, so my question is which do you guys think would be better dual 2.5 in. pipes to an x pipe then in to a dual in dual out muffler, or dual 2.5's y'd in to a single 3.5 inch pipe with a single in/out muffler? I do not have room for 2 mufflers period. Thanks in advance!

3'' out of the headers to a 3''to3.5'' y then 3.5'' tailpipe hope that makes sense.
