According to an old thread I found, my LQ4 with milled (0.30") 243's should be 11:1 CR. I hope it turns out strong. I also dug up the cam info and updated the first post. The cam is an Advanced Inductions custom grind

234/238
.629 .630
112+5 LSA

My wife is picking up a new timing cover gasket from the dealership this afternoon and I'm going to paint my motor tonight (weather permitting) and take some pics. Thanks for looking.

it wont be 11.1cr using stock gaskets more like 10.46to1give or take .1
thats assuming .030 will remove 4cc from the chamber giving you a 60cc chamber on the 243s

just bolting stock 243s on a lq4 will get right at 10to1 CR using stock head gaskets

That works for me. Thanks again grey. I used thin gaskets on my ls1 with these heads but on this motor I wanted mls gaskets.

Be careful what size chambers you mill the heads down to Josh. I had flycut pistons so I was able to get 61cc out of my old AI 243s to prevent ptv issues.

With my old 230/236 cam and 63cc chambers with stock LS1 pistons I had slight nicking of the intake valve on the pistons which eventually blew a hole in em'.

Thanks Jesse. These are already milled 0.30" but these LQ4 pistons are dished. Jamie said they'd be fine and I hope he's right like usual lol.

I called about 10 shops with my old cam when I installed the new AI heads and asked about ptv issues and they all said "you should be fine." Turns out I wasn't fine every setup is different just cause your runnng a bigger cam doesn't mean anything for him. Measuring is the answer.

However, in Josh's situation, AI spec'ed the cam so when he gets the heads done by them they can set him up perfectly for chamber size and milling and even with proper pushrod length to use.

Yesterday was a long day! Pics added in the first page. We got my old oil pan cleaned out from all the chunks of ring and piston, assembled and painted the motor, and dropped in. I added a few pics on the first page. We went to fire it last night and the crank position sensor wasn't plugged in so the coils had no fire. Got that plugged up and still no fire. HP tuners still says 'crank position circuit' so we're switching out to another crank position sensor and trying again. Big thanks to Jamie (the guy in my engine bay) and our good buddy Jason (fastjweb). You guys are a blessing.
Vids coming as it starts!
