Well sir, thanks for your help. That's why I threw this up in case he was wrong or I was mistaken. You think a mill-job would make ANY difference in the seat-of-the-pants feel? If not, that's right at $100 I can save. Thanks a lot for catching that grey matter.

I hope so buddy. I've been on HPJ for about 3 years and haven't made it out yet. I plan on it this year. I'm also going to Mustang week for a couple of nights. You heading out to dragging rights BigBlock? Also, are you on HPJ?

Another change of plans; I'm keeping the 243's. I want to get every bit I can out of this little lq4.

EDIT- I just got off the phone with the my machine shop and he said the difference of the combustion chambers could be evened out by milling the 317's 0.25". IE- a set of 317's milled 0.25" will yield the same CR as a set of stock 243's. I've read that 317's outflow 243's stock-for-stock. Is that true?
I saw your last post. But just to answer your question, my 6.0 put down 403/391 with stock 317s. I figure It would've put down 15 to 20 more peak rwhp with a stock set of 243s.
