Dropping my Suburban Need help ?
#1
I am putting Eibach Springs on the rear and It Is a pro kit. I was wondering feedback on height to lower torsion bar. Also having them Install brembo rotors and Axxis pads tomorrow. I got a steering wheel out of an escalade and putting that in also. Looking forward to tomorrow. B

Did you get the 2" (1.8") drop springs, or the 3" (2.8") drop springs?
It's best if you do the springs first, then turn the torsion bar bolts after you take measurements and decide your stance. It also depends on if you want your truck level or with a rake.

That's the 3" (2.8") drop spring. Those are stiff springs, but they will make your Sub handle like a Vette. I started off with those springs, but they were about a half inch too high for me, so I swapped in the McGaughys springs. I hate them. I lost all the sweet handling I had with the Eibachs, they're soft and lean like hell in the corners. And the ride isn't that much better. Now I'm getting a set of custom springs made close to the Eibach spring rate (337 lbs) but 1/2" lower, like the McGaughys. I think the McGaughys are sprung like stock, which is somewhere around 225 lbs.
If you have the 3" drop springs you will either need to get the McGaughys spindles or torsion keys to drop the front. What stance are you after?
