My summit brand 3'' Dual catback exhaust doesnt drone at all.

The muffler is a 3'' in Dual 3'' out.

I added Long Tubes/off road Y pipe and still no drone.

Has a nice tone, but i might want something a lil more agressive.

But i can tell you it doesnt drone.

Corsa doesn't offer mufflers only any more, only complete systems

Something else that can help is going with mufflers that are offset from the inlet to outlet. I understand that offset mufflers don’t always lend themselves to being easy to pipe up in some cases, but they will do a better job muffling the sound. Just about anything with a line of sight path, while being free’er flowing will rack the pipes so to speak.

I'm thinkin of purchasing an 18" MF or 22" MF.

Single in Single out. And I'll add a pipe to the muffler to take it past the rear axel.

I'll get an offset one as suggested as well.

My question is.. will this set up still cause droning??

Also! Will a 22" muffler cause it to be as quiet as stock? Cause i"ll be kinda upset lol. Of course LT's and maybe ORY will change all that. But still..

IMO different setups need different solutions. I had tried a number of things to get rid of the drone including the 22" 3 inch in/out magnaflow along with 4 additional bullets. It all droned LOUD at 2k (55 to 70 mph). The drone had become like closing time to me, so I was ready to settle. About 3 weeks ago I put the 3" offset dynomax vts in place of the 22" before the axle. I now have masked magnaflow sound, slight rattle at idle, loud at wot, and reasonably quiet at cruise (no drone). Turning the flats perpendicular to the truck bed helps to. Would I do this trade again, yes, I so hated the drone. I will see how they hold up, lifetime warranty looks good, and definitely liked a 90 day performance guarantee.

My Hooker Maximum Flow 22" case, 3" in/out, offset inlet/outlet also drones badly at 2K rpm. I'm going to try a 16" case resonator to see what happens. If that doesn't work I may change mufflers out; I've only got $32.50 in the Hooker so it won't hurt me too much.

Picked up an 18" glasspack today. Its called turbo glasspack? Cyclinder shaped, straight through? don't know..

Anyway, where the 14" magnaflow SI/DO USED TO BE I had them cut that off and put the 18" glass pack there. And a tail pipe that takes it to the rear axal where it dumps down at a 45 degree angle and slightly to the right.

Sounds 100000X better! Very quiet in the cab during cruise/soft acceleration. And very throaty agressive sounding when I stomp on it.

Loud on the outside of the truck.

Next exhaust mods are LT's and maybe ORY but I'll probably keep the stock cats..

Depending on how loud it gets when I get the LT's on there, I might put an 18" magnaflow on SI/SO.

How loud you think it'll get when I get LT's put on? You think it'll drone with an 18" MF behind the glasspack? Should I get 18? or 22? I don't want it to sound stock.
