Oh ok...I missed the Z71, but I talked to you for a second after you ran yours...red-headed guy...

How much did the Z71 put down and what mods does it have? 5.3L? Just curious what our truck would do...

Later
Hank

I have the Z71. I ran in 2nd gear with 285.75.16 tires, so the numbers are low. I had 273 RWHP.

Mods are: LS6 cam, K&N FIPK, Borla muffler, HPP3, Hamm headers

Hank, whats your truck setup? I guess you are from Dallas.

The Borla is very tame compared to the Flowmaster 40 I had on earlier. The Flow had way too much interior drone. My wife hated it. Now the Borla is mellow and deeper. No where near the level of int noise. I can actually talk on the phone while at highway speeds now. When I pull my cats off, the Borla will sound great.

Hank, did you drive to FASTech for the Dyno day? Are they going to do any mods for you?

I always figure 20% for A4 and 15% for stick.

I have 2 Borla XR-1 Sportsman oval 16" mufflers and no cats. At idle it's a little louder than stock, but at WOT it really sounds awesome. I had to experiment with a few mufflers when I took off the cats and the Borla is the quietest.

The 40 series FM will be plenty loud. It has no packing materials to deaden the sound like the Borlas do.
