Default Drive by cable to DBW

i have an 82 c10 that has a 5.3l out of a 2000 gmc sierra with a drive by cable throttle body, for me to do a NNBS intake swap, wouldn't that force me to run a DBW TB? or can i use my throttle body on a NNBS intake manifold?

i'm thinking that if i want to stick to drive by cable, which i do, i'm going to need to make a 4 bolt to 3 bolt throttle body adapter

or buy an aftermarket 4 bolt 90mm cable driven throttle body.

A few companies that make them:
Fast, Edelbrock, Holley, Nick Williams, PTM.

Buy aftermarket TB. DBW sucks ***** and the effort as far as programming harness changes and getting a correct TAC,PCM, pedal combo is a real PITA unless you pirate a existing running complete setup. I'd go to DBC in a heart beat on my NNBS truck if I could

I found the throtle response was way better with DBC. I wish I could get the same response with my '06 that I had with my '00...

X2. A cable has worked great for over a century. The wire is the absolute worst thing in my opinion to come to a vehicle. There are too many problems and parts to go wrong. If you don't believe me, ask the families of the dead Toyota owners when their cars accelerated out of control.

yeah, i think i will either buy an aftermarket 4 bolt drive by cable throttle body or make/buy an adapter. i didn't wan't to convert to DBW at all, i really couldn't do that actually...

there are a lot of ebay 4 bolt drive by cablee throttle bodies like this one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-LS1-LS2-L...791753&vxp=mtr

but i dont see a plug for the throttle position sensor, the holley throttle body has the plug, but it's also $400 that i'm not willing to pay for the holley name...

I agree. Not only that, I can feel the difference between my 2010 work truck and my 01/02 personal trucks. I hate the delay the DBW system has.
