dowl rods on holding up lifters???? dont look like it is workn

Alrite middle cam swap stoppn for the nite and went ahead slid in dowl rods to hold up lifters and doesn't look like holdn them up. Im look through the hole with a lit and can see one lifter and dowl rod isnt even close

is the cam still in? set the push rods on the lifters to check the height (to see if they are all up at the same height) pull the cam out put in new.. they should be fine just have to other cam ready to put back in

I had a longblock that sit for 3 months and then trailered 30 miles with nothing but the dowels holding the lifters up.

Im waitn for cam to show up tomorrow slammed96 is getn my tr220 thats in the box and im getn his low lift 212 218

But this is what im talkn about im using my metal rods and Velcro soft side from my first cam swap

Not trying to sound harsh, but get that **** out of your engine. You don't want the fibers off that cloth coming loose & falling off inside your engine. Get yourself some wood 5/16" dowel rod. If that setup worked once for you, you got lucky once.
