Does this sound like the battery?

This past weekend I was out hunting and when I went to start the truck, nothing happened. Wouldn't turn over or anything. So I'm thinking "Crap, the starter is going out" So I keep trying and by the 6th or 7th time it fires up. With the ignition turned on all the lights are there and everything, but turn the key and nothing happens.........Now, I figured out that if I turn the ignition on and let it sit for a few seconds (getting full juice) it will start right up. I'm thinking the battery is having enough time to bring the voltage up. What do you guys think?

I don't know if on these newer trucks it doesn't click then? Mine doesn't click when I turn it over, nothing happens. I had a 92 that clicked when it went out. That's why I was steering away from it being the starter and leaning more towards the battery or fuse.

I've been searching and it sounds like people who's starter went out or was beginning to go out would click when they go to turn it over. Also, why would it start right up if I let it sit for like 10 seconds with the ignition on? Something weird going on. I'll check some connections tomorrow.

I don't see what letting it sit for 10 seconds has to do with it. The battery doesn't need time to come up to full voltage. If your cranking speed is good, the battery should be ok. Maybe it is a connection or the switch starting to go bad.
The solenoid clicks when the batt is too weak to drive the starter and turn over the engine.
