does cutting off resonator affect performance

havent had a prob with the tranny or tc in the last 2 days. truck sounds funny to me though(maybe just not used to the intake sound). i had a dodge that when it was running rich the exhaust note sounded deeper. any chance that my truck is running richer cuz the flowmaster just doesnt sound the same as it did
