Default Do you think the same way?

I'm new to the world of Chevy trucks. It's ALOT different than my Camaro. I know some of you other guys have had some real fast cars. The Silverado is 4 seconds slower than the Camaro, but I think I enjoy playin' in it as much as the Camaro. I seem to get alot more people that try to jump in front from stoplights and in traffic. I don't get that much in the Camaro, and it's a real pleasure to smoke some of these Imports around here with the stickers and fart cans. I may be sick but it's almost more fun than looking for Fords. I can't explain it, but I was wondering if it was the same for you guys that have or have had muscle cars.

Had a Camaro (cough wheeze:...V6) and your right about people not being up to the challenge. Hell that V6 would run any rustang anyway. The way my truck looks, I'm always getting looks and revs. Heck the other night on the way home from HRP, I was in the fast lane and passed a pre 99 Chevy (with all the flares and crap) and he made the mistake of pulling back up and reving. Long story short, he was toast.

I can't get anybody to race me, and my truck looks far from being stock. I remember when I bolted on my drag radials for the first time and test drove them on the street. Right when I roll up to the stop sign there is a C5 right next to me. We look at each other and he kind of smirks, so I mash it and take off, but he did not do a damn thing. About a half mile down the road, he drives by me going aoubt 70 and throws a rev, WTF? He would have beat me, but I know I would have given him one hell of a run to 60 on the street with those drag radials on. I just installed a boost gauge, so now maybe people who are into cars can take me more seriously.

I feel the same way.. I have more fun with the truck than my 99 Hawk! The SHOCK value of spanking mustangs N/A and on the spray, is PRICELESS.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> At the track, we get swarmed after making a 13 second pass in a HUGE crew cab 4x4..People just don`t believe it.. I get more little street races than ever now.. I think everyone new the HAWK to well and just didn`t have as much fun.. The truck is larger and fits my 6`6" 245 lb frame much bettter than the Fbody did..Hell, I have always had trucks as my main driver anyway..Now with these third gen motors,, they RULE!
