Default Do Thorley 310Y-49 headers fit '03 2500HD

Considering installing a set of Thorley tri-y headers (#310Y-49-C) on my 2003 Silverado 2500HD with 6 liter engine. Every thread I've looked at kinda nibbles around the edges on this one without a definitive answer--those with 4.8 or 5.3 liter engines seem to get bogged down on the y-pipe question and altering the plumbing. Heck, I know mating the 6.0 liter's exhaust tubing to headers will require a bit of cutting and refitting--not a big deal. The question is will I run into any frame interference using the 310Ys on a 2500HD frame that the guys with a 5.3 on a 1500 don't experience? Looking for feedback from anyone who has actually made the install or gave up trying if it didn't work.

I think the steering shaft would be closer to hitting than the frame. Need to ask people with them how far they go out from the heads etc.

Steve Bryant fit these headers on a Yukon XL 6.0L. This should be very comparative to the 2500HD with 6.0L.

Check out his photo album for header pictures. Webshots Rides offers thousands of the best car wallpapers.

The Thorley Tri-Y headers are on my list of mods to be performed.
