That what my first thought as well but, I cant remember adding anything. I may have added an octane booster a few months ago trying to figure out a KR issue. I'm not 100% positive I did though. Even if I did, it was months ago. I'm running pretty fat right now while in boost, like 10.8:1, so I was thinking they were a little fouled from to much fuel. I'm getting on the dyno Thursday to fix the AFR so thats why I was doing a plug change.

Any other suggestions on what may have caused my plugs to look this way?

They Dont Really Look "bad" Though.... Maybe A Little Rough.... But I Bet If You Lean It Up A Little And The New Plugs Will Be Clean As A Whistle...

Btw Ive Seen A Few Sets Of Ngks Turn A Orangish Brown With A Great Tune. In A New Ls7 We Were Palying With Had Nothing Really But I/e And Tune, And The Plugs Turned An Orangish Brown...

Probably Nothing To Worry About

2nd one from the right is a little dry and crispy - injectors ok?

I seafoamed my old engine before I pulled it, and my plugs were a funky orange just like those. I hit `em with the wire wheel, some cleaned up, and others didn't flinch.

From what I can tell with my screen settings, those plugs look pretty good. You're supposed the want a nice tan color to them, but I've been noticing a reddish, orange more and more. May be detergents in the gas. The one plug that looks a little rough is the 2nd one from the right in the 2nd pic....is it possible that cyl is running lean and/or you're experiencing detonation?

I get KR all the time. Almost always with the converter locked, going 55mph, then I give it 30% or more throttle and instant KR with no downshift. Sometimes the KR is in the 7.x* range. I actually heard it today for the first time. I usually don't hear any audible knock when I get the KR on the scanner. The part that kills me is when I get it here are the conditions:

IAT's below 100*
Timing is around 15*
I'm at 0-1 psi of boost
AFR is between 10.8 and 11.2
These are not conditions in which KR should be an issue.

At WOT I get 0 to .2 degrees of KR and thats rare. I'm hoping the tuner can work this out Thursday.

With the way the fuel is now days,it is not uncommon for them to have a redish tint to them. Not sure if yall have ethanol there but here we have up to 10% and the additives can cause that some.
