What advantage does titanium retainers have over stockers?

TR220 114LSA in a 5.3

Do I need them?

Not much I'm afraid. As I remember the Comp Cams ti retainers were only a couple of grams lighter. What springs are you planning to use?

you dont need them. somewhere along the line when you get really extreme it will allow you to move up in the rpm's faster but i doubt you will see any gain.

I hear they're good for 7000-7500 RPM, but that's about the only time you'll need them.
