Do the 02 5.3s have the same type heads as the LS1 vettes?
Because the heads on these 5.3s look like the LS1 heads on the vettes.What makes these heads on these truck vortecs?

Would LS1 heads be any improvement on a 5.3? Would they need to be doctored up a bit, or would the not work at all?I have a chance to buy some and am wondering if it would be worthwhile.

no the ls1 heads have larger combustion chambers 67cc vs. 61cc so you would drop your compression ratio and the total composite flow #'s are better than the 5.7ls1 heads.
