Dmax in full size SUVs
#2
I understand that the 2500 'Burb is supposed to be getting the Dmax for '04 or '05
personally...I would trade my truck in a second for a Dmax powered 'Burb...I'd slap my 20's and 2/4 drop on it and be perfectly happy for a LONG time !!!!

A guy made his own duramax/allison suburban HD. I saw it on the thedieselpage.com, it was sweet.
They would need to make some changes to get the Allison in there. It only fits in HDs. That guy had to use a body lift to get the transmission to fit in there.

That would be a pretty sweet combo. I think I would have went with a diesel if they had it available when I bought my Suburban.
