Default Diablo Or LS1edit???

Well im making my christmas list and i dont know whether to include the Diablo programmer or get Ls1edit from thunder racing. i talk to the guys at thunder and they say that without any internal mods such as cam or heads or externals such a N2o or a supercharger i dont really need the ls1edit. what does everyone think? i have heard great things about the diablo and i like its feature of deleteing Torque management. but i have also heard even more great things about the ls1edit. please let me know which way to go from here.

ls1 edit gives you acess to things most people shouldnt even start adjusting or messing with.if you plan on big mods in the future then ls1 edit would be the way to go.remember you have to have a laptop and you need a diagnostic program such as auto tap to really take advantage of it.
the predator seems like a good deal.deletes torque management,as well as has a built in scan tool, lots of adjustments,timing,fuel,...ect.plus,they are working on making it to where you can download custom programs and updates online.they also offer custom tune on the predator for around 100 bucks extra.told me any tweaking on a custom tune to get it right would be no charge and would do it as often as needed to get it right.

I'd have to go with LS1Edit, just haven't heard enough good things about Diablo yet, to consider buying it. Besides, quite a few people here have first hand experience with LS1 edit, and will vouch for it....

I like my diablo. I took my program out this weekend so I could run 87 gas on the way to dallas and I could tell a big difference. I will have to get my dyno sheets but we gained over 22 rwhp off of it. Diablo will start making the the downloads for these after they are done with the duramax prgrammer

Red what settings did you set with the diablo to get the 22rwh. Mine diablo was acting up and wouldn't let me deprogram it back to stock this past weekend on the dyno. I did notice that the 2nd pull after a small increase in timing bumped the numbers up by 3-5.

When I go to my truck at lunch I will get them . I have them all wrote down. I dont have mine like some people like them. I have mine shift at like 5700 rp,s in first because that is when the cam was falling on its face. We tuned mine on a dyno-jet.

P+E .50%@ WOT
spark 10.00% WOT
shifts @ 5850rpm. That was the point that the dyno showed the stock cam falling off.

LS1Edit is much more versatile depending on what mods you want to do in the future.
