deleting cats(how much tq loss?)

I actually felt a gain after I removed the cats.... seriously thinking about going to a aerochamber, somebody needs to post up a sound clip of a catless exhaust with an aerochamber...

why would you lose down low? correctly tuned, you shouldn't lose anything. you wont gain much either

im not that worried about the inspection hint hint

i think i may cut them off then just so they are outta the way.

I'll try and make a sound clip up tomorrow or perhaps a video, either way i'd do some idle & driving clips.

I gained 2/10s in the 1/4 from it thats about a 20 hp gain in most et calculators

I took my cats off, I think it lost power down low,not much but some, but it made up for it up top. also I am only running the hpp3 tune so a custom tune could probably take care of the loss down low.

guys, i wish i could get a sound clip of mine right now with open headers and the 210/218 cam... i cant stop grinnin!!

i wanted to see if i lost any low power, but i cant tell cause its so damn loud and SCREAMS above 3k!

so i think im gonna cut them out when u get the y pipe up tomorrow

but damn damn damn... she sounds SICK with open headers and that cam!!!!!!

I felt a nice gain up top too. My tune was also tweaked to gain more power on the low and mid range and better throttle response... hence I didn't feel a loss of power an the low end.
