Default deep trans pan

Would it be worth it to get a deep trans pan? Do they really help with cooling? I plan on also adding a B&M trans cooler along with it. Would this be a good combo? Any info will help. Thanks

If you are doing a lot of of towing/racing you will benfit from it, if it is a daily driver then don't worry about it.

I cant remember how close the stock Y pipe comes to the trans pan....but my Dynatech Y pipe is about 3" away, and I think a deep pan would be real close or hit it....and I dont like the idea of the hot exhaust heating up the metal pan. I just ordered the cooler and decided agains the pan. I'll probably install a drain plug kit into the stock pan (cant get stock bolt out)

Stock pipes are real close to the pan. Have to remove the pipe to get the stock pan off (4x4).

Drain plug--you need an impact (slow impact/hand) wrench to get them to move the first time.

Or you can be a dumbass like me and round it off, then weld a socket to it. Kinda convenient though. LOL

Just unbolt the y-pipe when you need to drop the pan.
